Between retrieval and transfer

After eggs are collected, the work moves to the laboratory. Eggs are identified, sperm are prepared, and fertilization is either conventional IVF or ICSI, as the plan agreed. Embryos are cultured for the days your physician set.

What you hear back The numbers — eggs, fertilization, embryos — come to you through the clinical team, not as a raw laboratory sheet left unexplained. Freezing is arranged for embryos that are not transferred, when there are embryos to store.
