What happens at the assessment visit

The first appointment is a reading of the file and a list of what is still missing.

Insemination and ICSI are not the same step

One happens in the body. The other happens in the laboratory. The finding decides which one is discussed.

Common questions

All questions
When should we ask for a consultation?

A practical time is after a year of trying if the woman is under 35, and after six months if she is 35 or older. Come sooner if periods are very irregular, if there is a known problem with tubes or semen, or if you are planning medical treatment that may affect fertility.

What is the difference between insemination and ICSI?

Insemination places prepared sperm in the uterus. Fertilization happens in the body. ICSI injects one sperm into an egg in the laboratory, as part of an IVF cycle. They are different steps, chosen for different findings.

What should we bring to the first visit?

Any hormone tests, semen analyses, ultrasound or tube reports, and operation notes. Both partners are welcome. You do not need to fast unless your appointment message says so.

Is the cost a fixed package?

No single figure covers every case. Medicines, laboratory steps, freezing, and genetic testing of embryos are not the same for every couple. The cost is explained after the assessment, when the plan is known.
