Laboratory embryologists

Fertilization, embryo culture, freezing, and the handoff back to your physician.

This page describes the role. Named embryologists are added here when the center confirms them.

You will usually not meet the embryologist in the consultation room. Their work sits between egg retrieval and embryo transfer: identifying eggs, performing ICSI when that is the plan, watching embryo development, and freezing what is stored.

What you receive Development notes are shared with your physician, who explains them in clinic language: how many eggs, how many fertilized, and which embryos are available to transfer or freeze. Questions about those numbers belong in the follow-up visit.

Why the role is listed A fertility center is not only the consulting room. Listing the laboratory role makes that part of the journey visible before a named colleague is published.
