Endometriosis

Painful periods or a known diagnosis of endometriosis, and the question of how it affects trying to conceive.

Endometriosis can sit beside infertility, but the two are not the same appointment. Some people conceive without surgery. Others need a plan that accounts for pain, ovarian cysts, or previous operations.

Bring the records Operation notes, histology if you had it, and the latest ultrasound. A repeat operation is not assumed. The visit asks what the last surgery found and what has happened since.

Fertility options Depending on age, ovarian reserve, tubes, and how long you have been trying, the plan may be expectant, medication, insemination, or IVF. Pain management stays part of the conversation even when the goal is pregnancy.
